This policy applies to:
- All members of the Association.
- Volunteers and committee members.
- Anyone attending or participating in our events and activities
Our Commitment
We will:
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of age, disability, gender, identity, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or socio-economic background.
- Promote equal opportunities for participation in all dance activities, events and leadership roles.
- Challenge discrimination, harassment and bullying wherever they occur.
- Ensure our venues and activities are as accessible as possible.
- Celebrate diversity and encourage a culture where differences are valued.
Responsibilities
- Committee members: Ensure this policy is implemented and reviewed regularly.
- Volunteers: Model inclusive behaviour and report any concerns.
- Members and Participants: Respect others and uphold the principles of this policy.
Implementation
We will:
- Provide clear information about this policy to all members.
- Seek training and guidance where needed.
- Review our practices regularly to ensure they align with our commitment to equality and inclusion.

- For any concerns or complaints regarding discrimination or exclusion, please email the chairperson using the email address info@scarboroughdineanddance.co.uk for all such communication.
- All reports will be handled confidentially and every effort will be made to thoroughly investigate and resolve the issues raised.
Monitoring and Review
This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as necessary to reflect best practice and legal requirements.
